Roxanne Rosenberg, LCHMC, PMH-C

Roxanne is a Latinx licensed clinical mental health counselor (LCMHC) with a certification in perinatal mental health (PMH-C).  She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology with honors from Yale University and her master’s degree in psychology from Duke University.  Roxanne has been supporting pregnant and postpartum women for over 15 years through individual psychotherapy, support groups, and birth doula work.

As a therapist, Roxanne combines evidence-based principles and techniques with an approachable warmth, directness, and genuineness. Roxanne is trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and general cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques for anxiety, depression, grief, emotion dysregulation, and more. Roxanne also loves to help clients with therapeutic birth planning and navigation of the adoption options. She has special expertise in mental health during pregnancy, childhood trauma’s impacts on adulthood, birth trauma, Latinx mental health, and pregnancy loss. 

Roxanne has also chaired the North Carolina chapter of Postpartum Support International since 2018. In this capacity, she helps to bring awareness to perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) in her state, helps to train mental health and allied professional in recognizing and providing resources and treatment for PMADs, and helps to connect families with affordable, specialized care.

Roxanne has provided trainings across the country in perinatal mental heath and women’s trauma.  She also enjoys dancing, traveling, and continuing to learn the latest advancements in psychotherapy.
